Thought I would talk about me and Ardsley Cotons. Spring has come to Westchester and Yuki, Amelie & Zack are enjoying the return of grass to roll in! They also have a great time chasing the squirrels up the trees! Yuki lays in wait for one to come back down, but they never do........and I think she is wondering how come they won't come back to play her game. :-)

Amelie is not into doing a lot of playing right now, her first priority is her babies. She spends most of her time with them, and when she wants out of the Nursery, it doesn't take long till she decides to come back and be with them again. She is an excellent mother. This is her first litter and she is doing an outstanding job of mothering. She has five pups, but all TEN of her nipples appear to be operational! Plenty of milk for her little ones, and they sure take advantage of that.......they are never far from The Milk Bar.

As for me, well I am busy being at Amelie's beck and call. I cook her Mother's Pudding, and she loves her poached chicken. I know that one of these days she will get back to eating her Taste of the Wild, but for now, she gets whatever she wants, and it seems to be working, she is healthy and strong and providing lots of nourishment to her five babies.

And speaking of the babies, there are five of them. Four boys and one girl. None with much color, though two can be classified as "tri-colors". However when they grow up I think there will only be faint vestiges of that color, which will remain on their ears... strands of black and buff. The other three are white and buff. The girl has lovely champagne highlights on her coat. One boy is white, like his daddy, and the other boy has a touch of champagne. All will be white adults. Their pigment is coming in already! But then, they are taking after their parents, both of whom had lots of pigment when they were newborns too.
